According to the Islamic laws the marriage is called 'Nikaah' it is an Arabic word which is already in Quran. As we go further into the Islamic religion, it provides a complete guidance on daily living. Although Muslim marriage system varies greatly from country to country, in the Quran wedding is considered as a primary duty of a Muslim.

Sanchaq: In this pre wedding ritual, a bridal outfit of Nikah has been sent by groom's family along with many gifts and sweets.

Baraat: A beautifully decorated car is usually sent by bride's family to set off the groom from his place and take him to the bride's home for wedding ceremony.

Welcome: At the wedding venues entrance groom is welcomed by bride's family members where they warmly welcome groom and his family with drinks and rose water.

Nikah: it is officiated with a priest or Maulvi where the men and women seated at the separate groups. The bride's father presents Mehar to grooms family as some amount of cash. After that the Maulvi starts the Nikah marriage matrimony and he asks Bride and the Groom the phrase ‘Qubool Hain?' three times in a row and if both sides say yes then the marriage ceremony accomplishes successfully.

Arshi Mushraf and Rukhsat: During this ritual a couple set an eye on each other for the first time after the Muslim Punjabi marriage has been solemnized. Soon After a bride has to say good bye tearfully to her family and head to her grooms place.
